Georgetown Loop RR Special Events

During the 2017 season, the Georgetown Loop Railroad will offer many unique train rides that combine the thrill of “ridin' the rails” with outstanding culinary opportunities. Many of these special excursions will occur as the sun sets slowly over the Continental Divide and the stars come out to play. If you want to celebrate an anniversary, a birthday, an engagement or just enjoy a unique soiree in the Rocky Mountains, consider one or more of the following avenues for adventure!

From June through September, the Wine and Cheese Train will be returning after rave reviews over the last four years. The Georgetown Loop RR is having twice as many wine-tasting adventures with all new wines from around the world, plus some old favorites. Our guests will enjoy a selection of four wines and a fruit, cheese and cracker platter. Best of all, the Georgetown Loop RR's trained wine professionals will share their knowledge with you as you travel through the Rocky Mountain twilight. You will learn each of the wine's characteristics, such as body, aroma, bouquet and finish. These vintages will be matched with an exclusive selection of gourmet cheeses and fruits to please your palate while enjoying the beautiful view of Clear Creek Canyon. Best of all, your taste buds will be tantalized while sitting in the enclosed coaches atop Devil's Gate High Bridge over the surging waters of Clear Creek!

Wine & Cheese Train Adult Fares (including transportation departing at 4:30pm from all Summit County locations): $119.50

Available Tour Dates: June 25, July 16, August 6 & 20, September 10 & 26 and October 1.

Whether wine is your thing or not, be sure to check out the Beer and Brat Train in July through October. The Georgetown Loop RR will have a quintessential celebration of Summer as you travel through the majestic Rocky Mountains. Choose from four different world-class beers and a delicious hot bratwurst as you enjoy a fun-filled evening with spectacular views throughout!

Journey back in time to a bygone era of luxury, class and nostalgic train travel. Talk about a dramatic setting; snaking through the Clear Creek County valley while you watch the enthralling scenery pass by from your parlor car seat. Guests enjoy a selection of hors d oeuvres designed to compliment the four different styles of the evening's featured libation.

Adult Fares (including transportation departing at 4:30pm from all Summit County locations):
$116.50

Tequila
August 13, 2016

Please note that the evening train parlor car tables seat parties of 2 and 4 people. In the historic tradition of railroad dining, parties of 2 may be seated with another couple. 99.99% of our guests enjoy their time meeting fellow adult rail fans. However, if you would like a private table, such arrangements can be made for an extra charge. When seated with another couple, you and your guest will be seated on the same side of the table. Larger groups will be seated at adjacent tables.

When is a scenic Colorado train ride more than just another mountain adventure? It's when we take your family through steep canyons, by raging rivers, over Rocky Mountains and inside silver mines. Take our locomotive journeys through the ancient railroad tracks of Colorado's gold and silver mining era and step into the frontier history of the Wild West!
